Prior to the release of the debut album from This Mortal Coil (CAD 411 CD), 4AD issued a 7" single teaser called "Kangaroo". The Alex Chilton cover was on the A-side but the flipside featured a non-album track called "It'll End In Tears", an instrumental piece written and performed by Simon Raymonde (Cocteau Twins) and Steven Young (Colourbox). Despite bearing the name of the first This Mortal Coil album, this B-side has yet to appear on CD format. Like the album, this track was produced by 4AD co-founder Ivo Watts-Russell and John Fryer at Blackwing Studios.
